Esperanza Acosta Moreno Regional Branch Library Opening

The Grand Opening of the Esperanza Acosta Moreno Regional Branch Library was celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 9, 2006. Approximately 130 people attended, included members of Esperanza's family, singers from El Dorado High School, Boy Scout Troop 192, City Council Representative Presi Ortega, and lots of friends of the Library. Mariachi Sangre Mexicana de Montwood High School provided lively music, and refreshments were served. A good time was had by all!

The Library is located at 12480 Pebble Hills, and it is open according to the following schedule:

• Sunday            1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Monday           closed
• Tuesday           11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday      11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Thursday         10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Friday              1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Saturday          10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Children's story times are held on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 p.m. A Teen Hangout program and a Friends of the Library group will be started soon. For more information, please call 921-7001 during open hours.
