Our Membership Discount Program is in full swing. We have partnered with area businesses to
provide discounts when you shop at their businesses…..FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR! This Program will
be in effect from July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. ![]() |

4th July Watermelon Giveaway We had several of our members attend and serve watermelons at the 28th annual 4th of July parade held at Album Park sponsored by the El Paso Del Norte Lions The turnout was great and we had fun meeting and serving the public. |

The Esperanza Acosta Moreno Regional Branch Library at 12480 Pebble Hills Blvd is sponsoring these events in August: |

Free: English as a Second Language Classes will begin on Saturday, August 18th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. These classes will be taught by Socorro ISD teachers and will run through May 2008. To sign up, stop by the Library or call 921-7001 and leave your name and phone number. |

El Paso Speedway Park:
Saturday, August 11th at 10 a.m., local drivers will show their race cars and discuss racing
in the Library parking lot.

PEBBLE HILLS CLEANUP
LTNA held a cleanup on Saturday, on the street Pebble Hills which is where the Esperanza Acosta
Moreno Library is located. The day was very successful with quite a few adults, teens,
preteens and kids joining in. Totaling 14 adults/teens and 6 preteen/younger kids!

We need your input!
As you may already know, several months ago, our association was awarded $49,800 from the City of
El Paso, Neighborhood Improvement Program (NIP). LTNA submitted an application for receiving NIP
funds this past January and was approved for receiving these monies which are to be directed
(as per our request) to the development of the Salvador Rivas Park (around the library).This
fall there is another opportunity to request additional monies from the NIP fund. |
