LAS TIERRAS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION - MISSION

To develop a community identity; To promote its quality of life, namely the health, safety and welfare of our neighborhoods; and to participate in the political process as it pertains to our community in the city and county of El Paso, TX. by providing a conduit for clear communication between our community and our political leaders.



EDITORIAL

Welcome to the 1st Edition of the Las Tierras Neighborhood Association Lifeline Newsletter. Our plan is to bring you updates on issues and events in our neighborhood. If you want to help us in keeping our community informed, please call, email or talk to us at our monthly meetings. We are here to serve you!

MEET THE OFFICERS



PETE HOLLEN - PRESIDENT

The President shall call and preside at all meetings, shall act for and in behalf of the membership of the association, shall appoint any special committees necessary for the operation of the association business, and shall act as official spokesperson for the association.

MANUEL PADILLA - VICE PRESIDENT

The Vice President shall, in the absence of the President, assume all of the duties of that office and shall be responsible for publicity and notifications of meetings of the association.

ANTHONY MENDOZA - SECRETARY

The Secretary shall keep a permanent record of all formal meetings and all legal documents and legal transactions of the association. The secretary shall transcribe the minutes of each meeting and shall maintain a file copy of same and submit a copy of these minutes to DNR.

SANDY NELSON - TREASURER

The Treasurer shall keep all financial receipts and a permanent record of all financial business of the association. An up-to-date financial report shall be submitted at each meeting. The Treasurer shall be responsible for membership.

Community Identity
At this time, this committee is still in the organizational phase. If you would like to become a chairman or member of this committee, please contact Pete.

Lorena Estala - Community Identity
To Establish a partnership with the Builder/Developer Community, the City of El Paso and LTNA for the purpose of setting high quality standards and compatible development in and near the Las Tierras Community.

John Almeida - Quality of Life
To promote and establish a working partnership between LTNA, the Builder/Developer Community and the City of El Paso on all Quality of Life issues impacting the LTNA Community.

Enrique Frias - Neighborhood Watch
The Program persuades citizens to get involved by getting to know your neighbors and looking out for each other. The program also encourages citizens to report crime and suspicious activities, thus improving communication and interaction between the community and police.

Charlene Walker - Membership
For Las Tierras Neighborhood Association to become an organization which includes all residential families and businesses within our boundaries to unify our community.

Marco Estrada - Social
For the members of the LTNA to come together as a community which is encompassed with social friendly neighbors that know, interact, and assist one another
