LAS TIERRAS NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION - MISSION

To develop a community identity; To promote its quality of life, namely the health, safety and welfare of our neighborhoods; and to participate in the political process as it pertains to our community in the city and county of El Paso, TX. by providing a conduit for clear communication between our community and our political leaders.

PROJECT RESPECT A SUCCESS!

On Saturday, November 4th, 21 members of LTNA and 28, 5th graders at the Sgt Roberto Ituarte Elementary School met from 9-11a.m. to clean-up the two streets that run along their school. The
children were matched up with adult supervision and walked the area to pick up the trash.

The principal, Mr. Carlos Amato and two 5th grade teachers, Mrs. Priscilla Aguilar and Mr. James Rodriguez were present, teaching the values of respect and responsibility that the children are learning in school. A young LTNA member, Shayla Nelson, 2 years old, joined
in the clean up.
Following the work everyone enjoyed a hot dog cook out.

Visits by Presi Ortega, District 5 Representative, Commander Jerome Johnson of the El Paso Police, Pebble Hills Command Center and Michael Hernandez , El Paso Times enhanced the day.

Please check our website for complete pictures and Thanks to all participants!

We know that families are busy during the Christmas season so LTNA will not have a meeting in December. We would like to wish all our neighbors a safe and Happy Holiday!

THINK AHEAD FOR JANUARY MEETING!

At our LTNA meeting in January, we will hold elections for officers and discuss any changes to the Bylaws. It is important for all VOTING members to be present. You must be a PAID member to vote! You may nominate yourself or someone else.

If you have any recommendations for changes to the bylaws, please email them ahead of the meeting to Anthony Mendoza at: acrmendozatx@gmail.com

Come to the January meeting prepared with your nominations and ideas for changes to the Bylaws! Check the website for time and place for the meeting.
